ReverseEngineering.com launches Fusion 360 RE
ReverseEngineering.com has announced the launch of its latest software application, the Fusion 360 RE App, which aims to seamlessly integrate the cloud CAD environment of Fusion 360 with Faro Quantum Max ScanArms and Hexagon (Romer) Absolute arms.
This app was developed to offer engineers features to streamline the user experience and functionality of reverse engineering, 3D measurement, and 3D scanning.
The provider of CAD/CAM integrated reverse engineering and 3D scanning software, said that, by integrating Fusion 360, engineers can now easily reverse engineer, inspect, and 3D measure customer parts, die tools, broken parts, and moulds with enhanced ease and accuracy.
This should reduce waste and improve efficiency on the shop floor. The Fusion 360 RE app from ReverseEngineering.com introduces several features, including simplified 3D measurement tools for probed geometry, enhanced profile extraction for quality inspection of tooling, fixtures, and dies, custom alignments for die tool part setup, improved functionality for probed geometry during alignment and 3D measurement, and powerful point cloud processing tools that enable users to work with large sets of point cloud data effortlessly.
"We are thrilled to release this new software application to the market and revolutionise the way engineers approach reverse engineering and 3D measurement using Hexagon (Romer) Absolute and FARO Quantum Max/S + LLP XR/HD," said ReverseEngineering.com CEO Braxton Carter. "This seamless integration is helping metal machine shops increase their productivity and revenue."
ReverseEngineering.com's Fusion 360 RE app should also offers seamless integration with various metrology equipment, including laser scanners, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), and optical trackers. This comprehensive software should empower engineers to capture highly accurate 3D scan data and convert it into fully parametric CAD models within the same environment.
"ReverseEngineering.com's Fusion 360 takes reverse engineering workflows to the next level," said ReverseEngineering.com director Christiann Moore. "We are committed to simplifying the process of working with extensive 3D point clouds, enabling engineers to convert scan data into usable CAD models with ease. This efficiency translates into improved productivity and cost reduction across various industries."
ReverseEngineering.com's Fusion 360 RE was developed to allows engineers to swiftly and accurately convert 3D scan data into fully parametric Fusion 360 CAD models. With this software, engineers should be able to easily measure against drawings, reverse engineer, and measure parts, dies, tools, and moulds with enhanced accuracy and efficiency, leading to reduced waste and increased productivity on the shop floor.
